Lepidopterophobia: fear of the butterfly family (which includes moths).

I came across Voivodess' stock. Her images are absolutely beautiful, stunning and unique. I didn't want to edit it to much, as I think she is absolutely beautiful and I felt I may ruin the image.

You are welcome. I saw this and fell in love with it, you did such a wonderful job, lighting, the butterfly was great. Sorry I thought I left you a longer comment. You did a great job.

This is beautiful work and i love your chose of model, her shaved head works so well with the topic, as if a lock of her own hair brushing against her face might remind her of the feeling wings fluttering against her.

i have a tiny comment which i might not be totally correct about, but if the butterfly has been manipulated on to the mouth, shouldnt the shadow underneath the butterfly not show under the right wing since the model's own shadow is going the opposite direction? or would the butterfly wing get a shadow anyway simply because of how close it is to the skin? :)

Your exactly right, if I was scared of moths or butterflies (etc) last thing I would want is the feeling of something tracing across my face. And you are right again with the shadow, I was aware that the shadow could be considered the wrong way, but I felt that the distance from the insect to her face would of created a different shadow, as the light source doesn't appear to be a spotlight. Thank you for your comment.

you know you could kill someone (like me) that suffers this phobia with this picture... AHH i almost scream when i saw it, they should have a warning or something.
Anyway i think is great (except for the heart attack), is was beautifully manipulated, they both look great (the butterfly and the woman).
Nice job! ^^

you are very welcome :) i see what you mean about the butterfly creating a different shadow  if you are interested in tweaking this more, i'd suggest the most accurate reference to the butterfly's shadow would be to imitate the shadow direction of her stud earrings maybe?
